Terms of Use

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BillsBridge (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Eligibility

To use BillsBridge, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a registered business or sole proprietor operating in Ghana
  • Have a valid phone number and email address
  • Have authority to bind your business to these terms

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. BillsBridge is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account.

You may invite team members to your account. You are responsible for all actions taken by team members under your merchant account.

Payments & Fees

BillsBridge facilitates payment processing through an integrated payment partner. By using the payment features, you agree to our payment partner’s terms of service in addition to ours.

  • The Starter plan is free with a limit of 30 invoices per month
  • The Growth plan costs GH₵ 49/month, billed monthly
  • Transaction fees of 1.95% per payment are charged by the payment partner, plus a 1% BillsBridge platform fee
  • Funds are settled directly to your registered bank or mobile money account (T+1, next business day)
  • BillsBridge does not hold or manage customer funds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to use BillsBridge to:

  • Send fraudulent invoices or collect payments for goods or services not delivered
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations, including tax obligations
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited messages, or abusive content via WhatsApp
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that do not belong to you
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service for money laundering, terrorism financing, or other illicit activities

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Limitation of Liability

BillsBridge is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law:

  • BillsBridge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to BillsBridge in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for failures or delays caused by third-party payment, messaging, or AI service providers
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated product information from the scan feature

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or engage in prohibited activities. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be revoked
  • Pending payments will be settled according to our payment partner’s policies
  • Your data will be retained as required by law, then deleted
  • You may request a data export before account closure

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, with venue in Accra.
